Yo, what up? Alright, Shifty here. I'm gonna explain the ranks to you guys. Now, you're tiny little minds are thinking, "Wat dat little ding under dat person's avvie? I ish sho confushed right now!" Well, there are different ranks.
Each rank has a required number of posts, as you saw above. After you reach each number of posts, your rank changes. Also, you get a little image with a star under it (Yay! :3). That's basically just for bragging rights (Tee-hee!)
Now, you've probably noticed some members that have, say, something strange under their avatar. For example, mine says Chief Admin, and my stars are full and it has the word "Webmaster" written above it. That means I'm the top admin and the site owner. I have access to everything on the forum, and can basically resolve pretty much any technical issue. Here's a list of the "special" ranks:
There you go. Now, you're probably still thinking. "Who are these members? How do I know?" Well, a list of these users will be posted in another topic so you can keep up-to date on these users. You may be thinking, "Cool, I want to be one of these members! How can i do that?" The original top Admins and Moderators are friends of each other, but if the site grows and we need some more, there is a way to do so.
The first step is your rank. Moderators will be chosen from the top posters (Most likely to be chosen are Valued Members +) who send in a form when we request it. When you accomplish a good rank, than we check your character. We make sure you're the Moderator type from the way you behave, and we check your form for accuracy and such. If we like you, than we'll put in a good word for you with the Master Moderator.
After you've been a Deserved Moderator for a while, are a good user, follow and enforce the rules and the Master Moderator either leaves, steps down, or is elected an Admin, the Chief and Communist Administrators will review the current Moderators for one of the oldest and best, and will elect them Master Moderator. If that's you, than congrats, you're on your way!
Next, after you've been a Master Moderator for a while and the Webmaster feels you've done well while in need of another Admin, he'll make you an Admin (Yay!).
The final step is a Webmaster. When the current founder decides it time to pass the ownership of his forum to a successor, he'll choose one of his closest friends and the very best admin who is capable of running his site. If that's you, than a secret process is held to prevent any trace of the current Webmaster of being here and to make sure you are capable of handling the responsibilities.
I hope I've been able to explain this better!

- Special Ranks:
Chief Admin = Webmaster of the site.
Communist Admins = Very trusted users who have access to the Admin Panel, but can't access everything.
Master Moderator = Trusted user. The head moderator. Lower than an Admin and doesn't have access to the Admin Panel. Head of the Moderators and enforces the rules better than your typical Moderator. Looks over user posts and has the ability to move/edit them if any rules are broken. Can ban members as well.
Deserved Moderators = Lower than the Master Moderator. Trusted users who can move/edit posts and can ban members.
